Smaller is a collection of microgames each made for Micro Fiction Game Jam 2025, with the theme of "Absorb, Repose, Recursion".

Each 280 characters or less, I decided to package them up together into a zine, so I could feature them here.

Also featured as the back page is the original design sketchbook page showing how I brainstormed and wrote the content of the work.

DREAM SCRATCHER

Keep a dream diary for 7 nights. Involve other agents. Nights 1-6 record memorable dreams. These are memories of others, stolen by you: secret information to achieve covert aims.

Night 7 sends a message about your objectives. Did nights 1-6 prepare you to complete the mission?

OUR MILKSHAKE

You are an alien force, vast and monstrous. Travel between planets absorbing their resouces. D100+ Dictionary lookups to find what each planet has for you.

After each absorption, consider how that fueled you, made you stronger, different. Repeat until entire universe is exhausted.

TWO MINUTES FATE

Sit and observe your surroundings for two minutes exactly - timed. Then close your eyes. Hold this world within your mind. Everything you witnessed during this time is a Resource.

You're trapped in a Time Loop of that two minutes. Use Resources to divine WHY, and HOW you break out.
